This was an easy to find web image of a bouncing ball, and it gets the point across fine, but is it correct? Specifically, does the progression of heights represent a constant coefficient of restitution or a variable one? If it is constant, declare the figure accurate and specify the value of the coefficient. If it is not, find the different coefficient of restitution of two rebounds and declare the figure inaccurate.
For testing, duplicate the first rebound by setting position, velocity and restitution parameters in SolidWorks, then compare the subsequent rebounds to the traced path. Comment on relative accuracy.
