The UltraStar 175 is the official flying disk for competitive ultimate. As shown, it has a diameter of 10.75in and a weight of 175gm. For our purposes, you may treat it as a flat circular plate of 75gm and diameter 10.5in and a ring of 100gm with diameter 10.75in. The thrower applies a torque about the center given by the equation below for 0.5seconds while throwing, then releases. Find the angular velocity of the disk on release.  Note that the product’s official specification is in grams and inches, I did not make this up.
